Custom Order Freezer Lambs
Delicious custom order freezer / butcher lambs are available typically mid May - June each year. Butcher lambs are $6.25/# hanging weight. Our lambs do sell out each year, please contact us early if you wish to reserve a lamb. NEW this year--we will have a second processing date in August.
$6.25 / lb Hanging Weight
Hanging weight price includes all custom processing and packaging from Foss' Fine Meats in Sparta, Wisconsin. We require a $100 deposit to reserve a butcher lamb. We will notify you at least 2 weeks prior to the processing date. We will contact you again when we have the hanging weight from the butcher. Upon payment, you can pick your meat up directly from Foss'.
Lamb hanging weights are typically 65-85#. If you are requesting a bigger or smaller lamb, or an intact male animal, please let us know and we will do our best to honor your request.

We will mail you a cuts list after you have reserved your lamb. We would be glad to assist you in making your cuts list according to your preferences and cooking style if you are unsure of how you would like your lamb processed. Each lamb is a custom order!

Genuine Tanned Shropshire Sheep Pelts
Please note that exact size and color will vary. Each hide is from an individual animal and possesses unique characteristics. The color is undyed and all natural. Colors will range from white to creamy ivory with hints of tan. There may also be slight variations in the hide texture and color within the same fleece. Occasionally there may be a small hole or blemish in the leather side of the pelt due to the hand skinning process. This is only a cosmetic flaw to the underside (leather side) of the pelt and will not be visible to the fleece side. All our fleeces are very, very soft. Sheep pelts are available in limited quantities. The tanning process takes over 6 months. Once our hides are sold out for the year, they will not be available again until approx. 6 months after the lamb harvest (which is usually mid May-June). The average size of lamb pelts is 42" x 30".
Ounce for ounce, sheepskin is stronger than steel. Sheepskins will last for years with minimal care: only brushing, shaking out, or vacuuming is required.
